We designed this facility for the White City Tennis Club, one of the most historic of our Australian tennis clubs. It has accommodated for many years Davis Cup ties, the NSW Open and a host of other important tennis events and is one of the few remaining grass court tennis clubs in the world.

Our task was to provide a vision for them to re-launch their Club with new funding. The idea was to create one of Sydney’s premier sporting club facilities. As such the design included many of the features seen in major new sporting clubs both locally and internationally. This included a range of bars, restaurants and function facilities, as well as a gym, swimming pool and a variety of support areas. The design also sought to capitalise on its beautiful park-like setting and its views to Rushcutters Bay Park and Sydney Harbour.

The site was subsequently purchased by another party who have other plans.
